My
name is James Brunner, President of United Sports International,
Inc.. We are the parent company to the USL Premier
Development League soccer franchise the Lancaster Rattlers.
I am writing you today to talk about corporate sponsorship
and advertising opportunities available through partnering
with the Lancaster Rattlers. Corporate sponsorship
of sports organizations such as ours, works to provide
opportunities for young players to develop and showcase
their talents in
a professional setting, as well as opening previously untapped
markets to our corporate sponsors and their products. Product
recognition grows exponentially when it accompanies the name
of a local sports team.
I’d
like to tell you a little about what your sponsorship
dollars allow us to do. We, as a United Soccer League/
Premier Development League, help to develop players
for professional careers. The USL PDL allows players
primarily under 23 years of age to perform in a professionalized
setting while maintaining their college eligibility.
The league brings together the top recent and current
college athletes, elite high school players and savvy
veterans, producing an environment that is ideal
for player development. By operating during the summer
months, the system allows college players the ability
to retain their amateur status while staying on top
of their game during an otherwise soccer-void period.
In
addition to player development, the USL PDL gives
college programs an additional resource for identifying
and recruiting talented players. active involvement
with USL PDL teams can help colleges recruit the
nations elite high school players - who are often
a part of USL PDL squads - by building awareness
among the athletes and coaches. Besides providing
players with experience in a professionalized setting,
the USL PDL also provides players with a valuable
networking opportunity for furthering their careers
following graduation.
Our
sponsors and advertisers are seen by the community
as important to creating an opportunity for local
talent to excel.The community appreciates the investment

The
market area of the Antelope Valley is somewhat of
a bedroom community 60 miles north of Los Angeles.
The
overall population is 437,000 people most of whom work in
LA and its outlying areas, some 40+ miles away. Having been
a resident here for over 15 years I know our community longs
for sports entertainment here in the neighborhood.To date
we have one minor league baseball team in an area that is
dominated by soccer fans, as evidenced by the 10,000 plus
youth and club team players that cycle through the Lancaster
National Soccer Center every year. This, by the way, is the
largest soccer
complex west of the Mississippi for that reason.
The
racial demographic is approximately 60% White-30% Hispanic-10%
Black/African-American, The average age is 32, the gender
differential is 51% male to 49% female, the average family
household income is $66,032, the projected rate of growth
for the next five years is 8.98% growing in ten years to
580,291 persons. This area is more populated than many major
cities across the country.
