Lancaster, Ca. - The Lancaster Rattlers face a weekend of back to back home games. Friday nights Victory against the
Ogden Outlaws, gives the Rattlers 3 points and puts them even with the Brigade.  Friday night was the start of it all at
Antelope Valley High School on May's field, where in the 71st.  Minute of play Richie Galvan came off the bench to replace
injured Carlos Aguilar,  and 13 minutes later he received a pass from froward Mauricio Harrie and from 27 yards unloaded
the game winning goal in a 4 to 3 home Victory , the first home win in Rattlers three year
history.

Friday night the Rattlers took on the Odgen Outlaws, both teams battling to gain some ground
in the Southern Division. The Rattlers, only one point above the Outlaws at the beginning of
play, the Rattlers had also played one more game then the Ogden team. The Rattlers were
well aware of the team they are facing on Saturday in back to back thrillers.
As the Bakersfield Brigade come in on Saturday night, they are tied with the Rattlers in
points with the same record of 2-6-2 and they both have played 10 games.

Friday's win was even more important to the Rattlers then the first home game victory.
After Ogdens forward  Cornia scored in the 15th minute of play off a pass by team mate Kim
Through the defencive line to Cornia's feet and neatly tucked it under the Rattlers keeper.

With out wasting time in the 29th minute of play the Rattlers Head Coach David Lopez made a key change in his line up.
Starting the game in a 4-5-1 formation, Lopez quickly substituted Defender Matt Garrett with  offensive  Forward Mauricio
Harrie changing the formation to a 3-5-2 . And it paid off,  one minute later with a sudden heavy attack of 5 put the Outlaws
a little off guard. Then  Lancaster's Carlos Aguilar from 20 yards out placed a perfect ball to the near post out of the reach
of Jeff Rogers the Outlaws keeper.

Again the offensive move by Lopez paid off. Mauricio Harrie three minutes later, caught up to a pass from Defender Bobby
Reiss and Harrie placed a beautiful shot to upper netting to give the Rattlers the lead. At the 45th min mark the Rattlers
were up 2 to 1 over the visitors.

The pressure was on for the Outlaws as they came out looking to get even and they added a little more pressure to the
Rattlers Midfield and Defense. But as the Rattles continue to take shots at will, the Rattlers were certainly in control of 80%
of the game.
Then in the 70th minute of play as the Rattles were on the attack and charging the box, Ogdens  keeper Jeff Rogers
stretched to grab the ball but instead got the feet of the Rattlers attacker. A penalty kick  was awarded and Christian
Hernandez put it in to take a two goal lead.

But the Outlaws were not done either.  Two minutes later Ogdens  Canstano in a breakaway dodged the Rattlers defense
and with a hard shot slipped by Brunner to get within one.
Then in the 83rd min of play Ogdens Charles, who was substituted in too the game 10 mins earlier, Followed up on
Canstano who shot a bullet in to the chest of Brunner and as it bounced off, Charles was their to catch the rebound and
knot the game up at 3 apiece.

After Midfielder Carlos Aguilar was injured  in the 71st. Min., Richie Galvan came
off the bench , then in the 84th min. Right after Ogden had tied it up Galvan
received a pass from forward Mauricio Harrie at 27 yards out and took the shot
over the keeper and in the back of the net for the game winner. When asked about
the sudden change that made the difference coach Lopez responded by saying
" we have to do something to create more attack now while we are only one  goal
down."  And it worked with the Rattlers taken 30 shots in the game more then any
others previously played.  The win gave the Rattlers 3 points for a total of 8 that
ties with  Bakersfield. The Rattlers face Bakersfield tonight at  Antelope Valley High
School 6pm. A win tonight will put the Rattlers one point behind BYU in the standings.
Come out tonight  6pm AV High and be a PART OF IT!
