USL-PDL Lancaster Rattlers Home Opener

The Rattlers will host the BYU Cougars May 9th at 6:00pm in there 2009 Home Opener. The Rattlers will play at Antelope Valley high school
Mays Field for the first time. Also for the first time in there three years the Lancaster Rattlers will actually play in their home city of Lancaster.
After the first two seasons of playing in the city of Palmdale because of field availability the
Rattlers are excited to come home to Lancaster and the opportunity to play in the newly
re-molded Mays field at Antelope Valley High School. The Rattlers will host the BYU Cougars
of Utah for the first time. Since the leaving of the San Jose Frogs and the San Francisco Seals
it left an unbalance of teams in the West. Therefore the United Soccer Leagues moved the two
Utah teams Brigham Young University Cougars and the Ogden Outlaws to the
South West Division. This will be some exciting soccer as we will have many BYU alumni in
the stands. Gates open at 5PM tickets can be purchased at the gate or on line in advance at

A Memorial Game
The Rattlers will also dedicate this game to one of our local athletes a friend of the Rattlers
Leo Arabia 24 who on April 5th left us suddenly in a car accident. Niky's Sports a sponsor of the Rattlers in Palmdale is selling T-Shirts in
memory of Leo, the picture T-Shirts cost $10.00 and all proceeds will go directly to the family .The Rattlers ask that you help the family by
purchasing these shirts and wear them on May 9th and help us dedicate this event to the memory of our friend. Lets create a memory in his
honor.
